Video: Michael Caine's Master Class on Acting

Few living actors have earned as much across the board respect as Sir Michael Caine, fewer still deserve it as much. Born Maurice Joseph Micklewhite in 1933, Caine began his film career in 1956. Nearly 6 decades later he has 160 film and television acting credits to his name including 5 films currently in post production.

To date he has 6 Oscar nods and two Best Supporting Actor wins for Hannah and Her Sisters (1986), and The Cider House Rules (1999) and he and Jack Nicholson are the only actors to be nominated for an Oscar at least once per decade from the 1960s to 2000s.

So, Caine evidently knows a thing or two about acting. In this hour long special (sorry about the six parts) from 1987 Caine explains what he knows about the craft of film acting and tells stories about his career. It would be interesting to see him do an update now and let us know what has changed, what he's learned since 1987 and what (if anything) he was wrong about then.
