Making Politicians Wear Their Corporate Sponsors

A petition on the White House's We the People site asks the US Government to "Require Congressmen & Senators to wear logos of their financial backers on their clothing, much like NASCAR drivers do".  Its a nice idea, and I'd actually support it however it's unlikely to be popular enough with politicians anywhere to pass. However I love Cory Doctorow's idea:
"As funny as this is, it would be easy-ish to turn this into a browser plugin that looked for politicians' names in the pages you looked at, and automatically surrounded them with a semi-opaque halo of corporate logos that you could click on to see more."

It would actually be incredibly useful when reading a news article or listening to a speech to see which corporations and interest groups were paying for the words.
