Free App Servers Up Some of Canada's Best Indie Zines

The Nub is a free app for Android, iPhone and iPad that serves up some of Canada's best zines including Broken Pencil, Geist, subTerrain, Matrix Magazine and Taddle Creek. According to Rabble:
"Providing daily content, as diverse as poems, essays, short stories, rants, book reviews and more, the Nub effectively provides a cohesive space for readers to engage in the newest work in Canadian arts and culture content.

According to Hal Niedzviecki at Broken Pencil, the magazine responsible for creating and curating the app, "things like apps and social media are new ways to connect readers ... which is crucial in a time when there is less retail space devoted to independent magazines than ever before."

So, if you'd like daily content that doesn't come from 'official sources' grab a free copy of the Nub.
