Charlie Booker Picks Apart TV on Weekly Wipe

I stopped watching TV News altogether several years ago. It has become more of a detriment to public discourse than a public service. Instead of giving people the information they need to participate in democracy and modern society, tv journalism has become entertainment, distracting people with shiny objects, commercials disguised as news and celebrity gossip. (Obviously the Daily Show is an exception, although it claims to be a news show it is more of a news show than what is left on TV.) Anyway, in Weekly Wipe, Charlie Booker does an amazing job of picking apart TV news, television in general and pop culture more broadly.
